Now I want to ask you which options you think would be best for you and your household. Again suppose that, for each of the seven areas of government spending, the government had to choose between these three options: Increase spending and raise taxes for every adult in [Country] by [amount], keep spending and income tax about the same as now or cut spending and reduce taxes for every adult in [Country] by [amount] a year? We are faced with many problems in this country, none of which can be solved easily or inexpensively.
