Description

The majority of questions ask about generalized social trust, or trust in ‘most other people’. We expanded this to include more limited measures such as trust in people of a nationality, those in the community, and new people. There is scope to expand this module to include trust in neighbors, relatives, friends, and other specific groups. Harmonized Variables

Harmonized variable that combines values from other ‘trust most people’ variables.  Target variable approximates the proportion of people that trust others versus the proportion that do not, with midpoint or indifferent values omitted. 0 = generally cautious, 1 = trusts most people
