Spending Preferences
Description
Variables in this module focus on preferences for government spending. The main harmonised variables for each area combine responses into decrease, maintain, or increase spending. However, we found questions that asked only about increasing or decreasing spending. These are not compatible with variables that also ask about the opposing preferences. We therefore created secondary harmonised variables focused on just increasing or decreasing spending. These supplement the main harmonised variables with answers from questions that ask only about decreasing or increasing spending.
